In this blog, AgaSha team narrates Sarafina’s farming journey story. It is a series of different episodes from the time Sarafina was born, her childhood, education background, professional; relationship & marriage, religion beliefs and total life that led her into farming. She shares the opportunities, challenges, views of farming in Uganda as compared to countries where she has been. She also shares tips on farming that takes place on her farm. Sarafina is not the real name. She requested to be kept anonymous. Her objective to share her story is not to show off or make sales from farm visits, but to inform her readers that everything is possible with God no matter what happens, you will reach your desired destiny, just keep hopeful and have fan, it is the matter of time, it will surely happen. Episode 1
Sarafina is light skinned jolly black African woman in her late 30s. It is also possible to be more or less years as per her look since Sarafina does not know when she was born. While other women seek to cut weight, Sarafina wishes to gain extra body weight though she constantly does exercises to keep fit. She enjoys reading personal self-help books. Sarafina is an engineer by profession though she has never practiced in her field. She likes to be in quiet places listening to sounds of birds, music, flowing river and viewing the sky.
Sarafina works best between 2am to 5am after that she prefers doing activities that don’t require her to think a lot or need concentration. She is never afraid of being alone though she enjoys other people’s company. Her personality has been largely being shaped by her childhood background which have good and bad sides. Sarafina works everyday to let the bad in the back and be the kind of person that God created her to be.
Sarafina believes in financial freedom and not working for money. Sarafina’s goal is to make passive positive monthly cashflow that is extra ordinary more than her monthly living expenses whether she works or does not work and still maintains a standard life style. This has created time for her to be with her beloved ones and do what she loves most.
